William Kent and Outdoor Tile Mural

William (Bill) Kent attended both Dartmouth and Eastern Washington State College. He has an undergraduate degree in biology and graduate degrees in art. He studied with Warren Hunter, watercolorist, in San Antonio, Texas. After moving to Spokane, WA, he taught art at Spokane Falls Community College and worked with Harold Balazas, a Spokane area sculptor. Bill's work has been displayed thoughout the northwest as well as internationally.

Primarily a watercolor artist, Bill is always experimenting and expanding his work by trying new things. Recently he has perfected a technique to apply his watercolors to tile. Be sure to visit the "Tiles" section on this website.

Bill lives in Bellevue, WA and in his spare time, enjoys traveling, Tai Chi and snow boarding. He is known as the "granddaddy of the slopes", teaching snowboarding to students less than half his age.
